Description:
- Perform inspections (First Articles, In-Process, Receiving, and Final) and witness tests as required.
- Perform in-process inspection on components and equipment, undergoing inspection, repair, and overhaul.
- Maintain all corresponding documentation related to product quality
- Prepare reports and quality records in compliance with procedures and instructions.
- Coordinate areas of QA work with other department's work, i.e., start-up, engineering, process, etc.
- Perform receipt inspections of material for work area in conjunction with material control staff as required.
- Perform system verification on completed systems to assure correct installation per design specifications.
- Control measuring and test equipment calibration equipment, as required to insure accuracy.
- Perform additional assignments and/or quality functions, as directed by the Quality Officer.
Education: High school diploma and/or GED with five years of related experience.
Knowledge: Computer: Quality control methods, principles, and practices, including sampling techniques: Product characteristics and applicable production maintenance, or repair methods and processes: Inspection, test, and measurement techniques; Strong working knowledge of engineering drawings and specifications, ESD, IPC-A-610 and J-STD standards, procedures and applicable codes. Knowledgeable of OSD, AutoCAD, performing internal audits desirable but not required.
Abilities: Written and oral communications. Ability to work independently and efficiently.
Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, etc. Ability to interact effectively with other team members. Ability to interpret product specifications, and technical data. Ability to effectively document issues and recommendations. Ability to use measurement instruments.

General Work Activities: Quality Inspector will support the quality management system, specifically in the area of product verification, i.e., Receiving, In-process, and Final inspections. The role includes maintaining quality records and documentation, performing product and process audits, validating test processes and providing technical support on all quality-related issues.
