Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President to serve as the engagement lead in our Banking and Capital Markets practice.
This strategic role focuses on fostering seamless collaboration across internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions that accelerate business outcomes.
The lead will act as a pivotal connector, ensuring alignment between advisory, technology, and operations services while driving client engagement and revenue growth.
This position requires a blend of technical expertise, client relationship management, and business acumen to achieve ambitious growth targets in a fast-paced financial landscape.
Also responsible for enabling communication between clients, other EXL business units, internal support staff, as well as multi-functional and multi-shore project teams.
This position may require frequent travel to client sites in the U.S.
Qualifications: Minimum of 15+ years in banking, capital markets, or financial consulting, with at least 5 years in a leadership or client-facing role. Proven track record in managing multimillion-dollar accounts, driving revenue growth, and leading cross-functional teams.
Strong expertise in technical design discussions and the ability to provide strategic consulting to enable large-scale engagements is essential for this role.
Skills:
- Deep expertise in banking and capital markets operations , including trading, risk management, regulatory compliance, and digital transformation.
- Strong technical acumen in fintech, data analytics, cloud computing, and AI applications within financial services.
- Hands-on experience with modern technology ecosystems , including hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP) , Databricks , Snowflake , and advanced AI/ML platforms , driving innovative solutions for clients.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills , with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficient in proposal development and designing technical workflows to support client engagements.
- Demonstrated capability to multitask and manage multiple complex engagements simultaneously , ensuring client satisfaction across all projects.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire technical delivery teams , ensuring seamless execution of complex projects for clients while maintaining quality, timelines, and strategic alignment.
- Analytical mindset with proven experience in performance metrics, forecasting, and achieving revenue targets.
- Ability to navigate a matrixed organization , managing multiple priorities and diverse stakeholders effectively.
- Comprehensive understanding of Enterprise Data Management (EDM) solutions , including the strengths and limitations of leading technologies/tools, enabling meaningful discussions with clients and teams.
- Skilled in adapting methodologies to client needs to maximize value and profitability.
- Effective in formal and informal presentation settings , including one-on-one meetings, small and large groups, and executive-level discussions.
- Experienced in conducting internal training programs , tailoring content to the audience’s level.
- Conflict resolution capability , managing internal and external challenges within accounts to maintain engagement success.
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $200,000 - $215,000 per year.
