Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Care Professional PRN to join our team, providing essential support to individuals with various needs in an Adult daycare, memory care, and developmental disabilities settings. This role offers flexible scheduling to accommodate your availability while making a meaningful difference in the lives of participants. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to person-centered care, ensuring safety, dignity, and well-being for all individuals served. Prior experience in nursing home environments, home care, or working with individuals with autism or dementia is highly valued. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Participants with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including toileting, feeding, and mobility support
- Support residents with medication administration and vital signs monitoring in accordance with care plans
- Facilitate engaging activities that promote social interaction, independence, and mental stimulation
- Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems accurately
- Maintain cleanliness of resident areas through light housekeeping and infection control practices
- Document care provided and communicate effectively with team members regarding resident needs
- Implement behavior management strategies tailored to individual resident needs
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure confidentiality and privacy of resident information
- Respond promptly to emergencies, including first aid administration and conflict resolution
Qualifications
- Prior experience in Adult daycare, assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments preferred
- Knowledge of assisting with ADLs, medication administration, and vital signs measurement
- Familiarity with medical terminology, EMR systems, and HIPAA regulations
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, or autism is advantageous
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Strong communication skills and compassionate approach to caregiving
- Valid driver’s license preferred for transportation duties
- Certification in first aid and CPR required or obtainable upon hire
- Flexibility to work PRN shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
