Job Overview
We are seeking someone who enjoys working in the kitchen to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious, high-quality pizzas and related menu items in a fast-paced environment. You will help create memorable dining experiences for our guests, ensuring every pizza is crafted with precision, creativity, and care. We are a new restaurant that also runs a food truck and are continuing to grow. No experience necessary, we will train. However, we need reliability.
Duties
- Prepare a variety of pizzas for to go and dine in customers.
- Follow detailed recipes and adhere to menu specifications to ensure consistency and quality in every dish
- Operate kitchen appliances such as ovens, mixers, and food prep stations safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by following food safety sanitizing procedures throughout the food preparation process
- Assist with food handling, portioning, and ingredient storage to support overall kitchen operations
- Support menu planning efforts by suggesting new pizza flavors or toppings based on customer preferences and seasonal ingredients
- Ensure compliance with food safety management protocols and proper food handling techniques at all times
Skills
- Ability to handle fast paced dinner service and multi-task as needed.
- Experience with high-volume production environments that require quick turnaround times without compromising quality
- Knowledge of food handling procedures is a plus
- Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining flexibility for creative menu development
- Prior restaurant experience with a focus on food handling, food production, and customer service is a plus
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Standing for long periods of time and working in front of ovens is required
- Knowledge of dietary department procedures and menu planning to accommodate special dietary needs or preferences
