Duties
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and relaxation massage tailored to each client’s needs
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual health concerns and develop customized treatment plans
- Educate clients on pain management strategies, post-treatment care, and wellness practices
- Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, client progress, and any relevant medical information using proper medical terminology
- Ensure a safe and hygienic environment by adhering to OSHA occupational health standards and sanitation protocols
- Provide excellent patient service by creating a welcoming atmosphere, addressing questions, and ensuring client comfort throughout each session
- Stay current with industry best practices and participate in ongoing education, especially in areas like physiology knowledge and med spa procedures
Experience
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification to practice professionally
- Proven experience in patient service, assessment, and delivering various massage techniques such as deep tissue and trigger point therapy
- Familiarity with anatomy knowledge, physiology concepts, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy and pain management
- Previous work in a med spa or similar healthcare setting is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect with clients empathetically and professionally
- Knowledge of occupational health standards and sanitation practices necessary for maintaining a safe treatment environment
