Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Tile Installer to oversee and execute tile installation projects with precision and expertise. In this role, you will lead a team of installers, coordinate project timelines, interpret technical drawings, and ensure that all work meets the highest standards of quality and safety. Duties
- Lead and supervise tile installation crews, providing guidance on techniques, safety protocols, and project deadlines
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately follow project specifications
- Coordinate with project managers to plan daily tasks, material needs, and work schedules
- Oversee the preparation of surfaces, including concrete forming, plastering, and surface leveling for tile application
- Ensure proper use of hand tools, power tools, ladders, heavy equipment, and scaffolding during installation processes
- Inspect work sites regularly to maintain safety standards and ensure quality control throughout each phase of the project
- Collaborate with clients and contractors to address questions related to design details such as tile masonry, trim carpentry, or fixture installation
Skills
- Extensive experience in tile laying, masonry, flooring installation, and related construction trades
- Proficiency with Bluebeam software for digital plan review and markup management
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles including estimating, scheduling, and site coordination
- Hands-on experience with construction inspection practices to verify adherence to plans and codes
- Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans
- Familiarity with plumbing, electrical systems, roofing, stucco application, caulking, drywall finishing, and gutter installation
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment safely and effectively on construction sites
- Excellent dimensional measurement skills using tape measures and other precision tools
- Experience with remodeling projects involving fixture installation, glass work, cabinet mounting or door hanging
- Knowledge of building materials such as concrete forms or masonry units; capable of fabrication when necessary
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members
