Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, and hygiene to promote independence.
- Collect and record behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment plans.
- Implement individualized behavior management strategies and ABA therapy protocols under supervision to support clients’ developmental goals.
- Support clients in educational settings by applying special education techniques and teaching functional skills aligned with their care plans.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, including progress notes, behavior charts, and compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to provide updates on progress and address concerns promptly.
- Adhere to the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts while delivering direct behavioral therapy in home-based or clinical environments.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other disabilities is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience in applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavioral health, or behavior management is a strong asset.
- Background in special education, school-based programs, or home-based behavioral services demonstrates valuable familiarity with client needs.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and medical documentation practices enhances your ability to support client care effectively.
- Experience working within ethical guidelines related to HIPAA compliance ensures confidentiality of sensitive client information.
- Demonstrated ability to implement ABA therapy protocols, collect behavioral data accurately, and adapt interventions based on client progress is essential for success in this role.
- A caring attitude combined with professional communication skills will enable you to build trusting relationships with clients and their families while supporting their developmental journey.
Pay: $22.50 - $26.00 per hour
