Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- State of Michigan certification as a School Psychologist or eligibility to obtain certification
- Proven experience working with elementary and/or middle school populations
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and IEP development
- Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration abilities
- Familiarity with multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI)
- Ability to work effectively across multiple buildings with multidisciplinary teams
Position responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and comprehensive assessments for students
- Support the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide direct counseling to students and consult with teachers and families
- Collaborate on early intervention, behavior management, and crisis prevention programs
- Participate in problem-solving and data review meetings to support student achievement
- Offer guidance on classroom accommodations, 504 plans, and behavioral plans
