Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Working Excavation Foreman to lead and oversee excavation projects on construction sites. In this role, you will coordinate excavation activities, supervise crews, ensure safety compliance, and maintain project schedules and budgets. Your expertise in construction management, blueprint reading, and heavy equipment operation will drive the successful completion of excavation tasks while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities
- Lead excavation crews, assigning tasks and supervising daily operations to ensure timely project progress.
- Operate and oversee the use of heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, and loaders, ensuring proper operation and safety protocols are followed.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute excavation work according to specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to align excavation activities with overall project schedules
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and other safety regulations by conducting regular safety inspections and enforcing safety procedures on-site.
- Conduct quality control checks to verify that excavation work meets design specifications and industry standards.
- Supervise labor crews, providing guidance on schematics, pipe installation (pipeline), and other technical aspects of excavation work.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Working Excavation Foreman and heavy equipment operator or in a supervisory role within heavy civil or construction projects involving extensive excavation work.
- Strong background in construction site management with a focus on excavation operations.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Supervising experience leading diverse teams on large-scale projects while maintaining safety standards.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to excavation safety practices.
- OSHA 30 preferred

Pay: From $35.00 per hour
