We are looking for a Restaurant Manager to join the Nova Kitchen & Bar team.
NOVA Kitchen & Bar is an Upscale Asian Fusion restaurant. NOVA Kitchen & Bar is an experiential dining destination, exploring the five elements—wood, fire, earth, metal and water—to engage and tantalize the five senses of taste, smell, sight, touch and sound. The result? An ethereal and magical experience. Inspired by the transient astronomical event of a moving star, Nova empowers guests to experience the five dimensions of life on earth like they never have before. We bring Vegas vibes to the Disneyland Resort Area
Areas of direct responsibility include the 300 plus seats Nova Restaurant (includes indoor & outdoor patio seating), providing Catering & Convention Events Services for up to 500 guests.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant and make decisions on
matters of importance (i.e. guest service, employee development, restaurant operations, etc.).
- Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and
minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility, and labor costs.
- Responsible for ensuring that all financial (invoices, reporting) and
personnel/payroll-related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas. Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.
- Responsible for ensuring consistent high quality of food preparation and service
- Maintain detailed BEO’s between the customer and all NOVA staff.
- Recruiting/Training of Service Personnel
- Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas. Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances
Qualifications and Skills
- Required: years experience with an emphasis on generating corporate clients through social events
- Strong Service experience, social event, and wedding banquet experience preferred
- Prior Multiple Outlet Experience Preferred
- Possess excellent communications skills
- Strong sense of professional appearance
- Understanding of OSHA, TIPS, and other pertinent training programs
- Knowledge of ABC, Food Safety/Health Department, including Federal, State, and local ordinances as they pertain to operating a restaurant and bar, and Catering events
- Ability to work in hot and cold environments and with hazardous equipment
- Able to work days, nights and weekends
Pay: $62,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
