Northern Cal Ice is hiring a Class A CDL Driverbased out of Stockton, CA for local and regional drop-and-hook routes to the Bay Area. This position starts as on-call, with the opportunity to move into part-time or full-time hours as demand increases.
Drivers will operate pre-loaded trailers, return to the Stockton yard daily, and enjoy consistent regional routes with no long-haul or over-the-road driving.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial vehicles safely and efficiently
- Perform drop-and-hook deliveries between Stockton and the Bay Area
- Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip inspections every shift
- Adjust trailer axles based on load and driving conditions
- Fuel truck and trailer as needed and maintain accurate fuel logs
- Maintain DOT compliance and follow all safety procedures
- Work year-round; off-season hours typically 24–30 hours per week
- Routes operate 7 days per week (flexible scheduling)
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Clean driving record
- Must live within 20–30 minutes of the Stockton yard
- Experience with drop-and-hook operationspreferred
- Ability to perform vehicle inspections and basic safety checks
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Availability for on-call and flexible scheduling
