Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Automotive Technician to join our team. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of automotive systems, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing top-notch service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic assessments and troubleshooting on a variety of vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, and other system issues.
- Conduct routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake checks, and fluid refills.
- Repair or replace worn or damaged parts such as brakes, exhaust systems, batteries, and belts.
- Inspect vehicle systems, such as engine components, electrical systems, and air conditioning for functionality and safety.
- Use diagnostic equipment and tools to assess vehicle performance and determine necessary repairs.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle conditions and repair needs.
- Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and shop standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (certifications or technical school training preferred).
- Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
- Ability to work with diagnostic tools, power tools, and hand tools.
- ASE certification (Automotive Service Excellence) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills, both with team members and customers.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy parts and tools (up to 50 lbs).
- Standing for extended periods and working in various physical positions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
