Project Safety Manager – Traveling Role (Safety-Sensitive)
Pay: $100,491–$120,000/year + additional 20% premium while traveling

About the Role
Help lead safe, compliant construction sites across multiple locations. In this safety-sensitive, traveling role, you’ll conduct site safety audits, provide training and orientations, respond to incidents, and partner closely with project teams to maintain a strong safety culture. Ideal for an experienced construction safety professional with OSHA 30 and 3–5+ years in field safety who’s comfortable traveling and taking the lead on safety in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections on the jobsite; complete field reports and recommend improvements.
- Stop work when necessary to correct situations of immediate danger.
- Prepare written safety audit reports and client-requested safety documentation.
- Serve as a resource on safety laws, rules, and requirements for all jobsite personnel.
- Support project managers and superintendents in complying with safety rules and regulations.
- Identify safety issues and propose practical, effective solutions.
- Deliver job-specific safety training for employees and supervisors.
- Conduct new employee safety orientations for all personnel on the jobsite.
- Respond to incidents and accidents as part of the incident response team.
- Lead incident and accident documentation, including detailed accident reports.
- Assist the Corporate Safety Manager with accident-related submittals and reports.
- Organize and lead safety committee meetings with representatives from all subcontractors.
- Investigate industrial injury claims and report findings to the Corporate Safety Manager.
- Conduct accident/incident investigations, document findings, recommend corrective actions, and follow up to ensure compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Construction Management, or related field (required).
- 3–5+ years experience as a Safety Manager or similar role in the construction industry (required).
- OSHA 30-hour certification (required).
- Additional certifications such as CSP, CHST, or other safety credentials (preferred).
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety on construction sites.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $100,491–$120,000 annually (DOE).
- Travel premium: Additional 20% pay while traveling.
- Annual performance bonus: Up to $12,000.
