Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment
- Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and maintain floor care standards to ensure spotless surfaces
- Manage heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or large supplies with proper manual handling techniques
- Restock amenities and supplies in guest rooms while ensuring proper custodial practices
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns
- Maintain sanitation standards by regularly disinfecting high-touch surfaces and adhering to industry best practices for cleanliness
Skills
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping, janitorial work, or industrial cleaning environments
- Strong knowledge of floor cleaning, floor care, and sanitation procedures
- Ability to handle cleaning equipment effectively and safely, including vacuums, buffers, and mops
- Familiarity with chemical agents used in cleaning and their safe handling according to SDS guidelines
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members
- Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management practices and hospitality industry standards
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining physical stamina
- Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all guests and staff
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
