We are currently seeking a Cultivation Technician, to join Intrepid Management, and our affiliate, Zion Medicinal. We are searching for a high performing, self-motivated Technician to facilitate the production and growth of high-quality products for the patients of Utah.
The Cultivation Technician provides daily care of cannabis plants from planting to harvest. They will provide quality care and attention to the growing process of the plants from clone to harvest which includes cloning, transplanting, watering, and providing nutrients. The Cultivation Technician will care for vegetative and flowering plants. Detailed recordkeeping and strict adherence to the company’s operating procedures and compliance with the state regulations are essential for this position.
The ideal person for this position will have a hard work ethic and willingness to get their hands dirty, continually looking for ways to improve, in the most efficient way possible. A team player at heart, they will collaborate with others in the organization, advocate best practices and roll up their sleeves to pitch in when it's all hands-on deck. They will move fast while paying attention to detail and tapping into their problem-solving skills to support the Company’s business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure plant health by watering, feeding, flushing, pruning, washing, cloning, and transplanting under the supervision of the Cultivation Manager.
- Measure and mix nutrient and plant applications.
- Cultivate out of clones, transplant, water, feed and mix nutrients/fertilizers.
- Assist with the rotation of strains through garden to ensure variety and quality goals for Cultivation facility.
- Perform all assigned duties required to ensure a clean and safe cultivation environment.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of all cultivation equipment, application tools and ventilation equipment.
- Assist with tracking plants from birth to harvest by ensuring proper and accurate documentation for applicable activities.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all plant tracking numbers, lot numbers and all other applicable information.
- Document according to company policy the application of all nutrient and/or substances applied to any plant located within the cultivation facility.
- Timely completion of work per schedule and strive to increase productivity through coordinated workflow and process improvement recommendations.
- Maintain clean grow rooms and workspaces at all times by regularly sanitizing tools, equipment, and grow rooms to ensure sanitary practices and to keep pests away.
- Use PPE as required: gloves, lab coat, tinted eye protection.
- Perform all other duties as necessary and any additional duties assigned.
- High temperature, high humidity greenhouse facility
- Employees must have normal field of vision corrected to 20/40 in each eye and must have hearing sufficient to safely operate material handling equipment in an agriculture environment
- Occasionally the position will have exposure to fumes, airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, cleaning compounds, solvents, plant debris, plant dust, and offensive smells.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or similar
- Must be able to pass a federal background check
- Must be able to read & write in written English and communicate in verbal English
- Prior nursery, landscaping, and/or agricultural experience, a plus
- Punctual and accountable for attendance in accordance with company policies
- Ability to follow work instructions
- Must meet minimum qualifications for a Cannabis Agent Card
- Must be comfortable working with Cannabis
- A positive attitude and willingness to work overtime when required
- Demonstrate strong communication skills
- Good attention to detail and ability to produce work quickly, accurately, and independently
- Work collaboratively in a team environment to accomplish company objectives with either direct or indirect authority
- Excellent prioritization, planning, organization, time management and multitasking skills
- Ability to stand 8-10 hours per day
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs regularly throughout the day
- Must be able to tolerate high temperatures and high humidity
- Frequent bending, lifting, crouching, standing, sitting, use of fine motor skills
