Position Summary
The Facilities & Equipment Manager is responsible for overseeing and performing all maintenance operations within a custom cabinet manufacturing facility. This role ensures that all production equipment, building systems, and company assets are maintained in optimal working condition to support safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations.
Key Responsibilities
Facility & Equipment Maintenance
- Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on all manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and minimize downtime.
- Maintain dust collection systems, air compressors, and other critical infrastructure.
- Communicate with technical support via phone and email from the machine manufacturers.
Electrical & Technical Systems
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including wiring, control panels, motors, and PLC-related components.
- Perform computer-based diagnostics on machines and other automated equipment.
- Install, modify, and upgrade electrical systems and machinery as needed.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
Pneumatic & Mechanical Systems
- Maintain and repair pneumatic air systems, including compressors, lines, and tools.
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures and perform component replacements.
- Ensure proper functioning of all moving parts and machinery.
Maintenance Operations Management
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
- Track maintenance activities, parts inventory, and repair history.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or services.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and efficiency.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA and company safety policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist the maintenance team with general facility upkeep as needed.
- Maintain lighting, HVAC systems, doors, and building structure.
- Oversee maintenance and repair of all company vehicles and equipment.
- Schedule and perform DOT inspections and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate service records and ensure vehicles are safe and operational.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (woodworking or cabinetry preferred).
- Tech savvy with the ability to diagnose various software programs
Skills & Abilities
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, pneumatics, and mechanical repair.
- Experience with machinery and computer diagnostics.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving under pressure.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to understand and articulate technical information.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing environment with exposure to loud noises, various smells, bright lights, and dust. Work will also be performed outdoors at times with exposure to the elements.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
