Duties
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in and check-out processes using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Collect patient vital signs, medical histories, and perform basic intake procedures to prepare them for provider consultations
- Assist healthcare providers with procedures such as medication administration, X-ray support, and basic physiology assessments
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and medical records in compliance with privacy regulations
- Support clinical staff with tasks including specimen collection, preparing patients for procedures, and managing inpatient or outpatient care workflows
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient follow-up communications, and coordinate referrals within hospital or clinic settings
- Ensure a clean, organized environment by sterilizing equipment and maintaining supplies necessary for dermatology, urgent care, hospital medicine, or emergency medicine services
Experience
- Prior experience working in a hospital environment or Level I/II trauma centers is highly desirable
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding practices
- Experience supporting outpatient clinics or inpatient units such as PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), Geriatrics wards, or Medical-Surgical units
- Familiarity with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions is essential
- Hands-on experience with X-ray procedures or OR (Operating Room) support is a plus
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or other relevant emergency response training preferred
- Background working in urgent care settings or Level I Trauma Centers enhances your ability to thrive in this role

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
