Automotive Service Advisor
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our service department. This role is responsible for scheduling service work, assisting quick lube customers, and serving as the primary point of contact between customers and the service team. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and committed to delivering excellent customer service.
Essential Duties
Maintain Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores at an acceptable level
Greet customers promptly and professionally
Schedule service appointments and obtain customer and vehicle information
Advise customers on vehicle maintenance based on manufacturer recommendations and maintenance menus
Identify service needs and clearly explain them to customers
Accurately document repair instructions on repair orders
Provide estimates for labor and parts
Obtain customer authorization, signatures, and payment method approval
Monitor repair progress throughout the day and keep customers informed of vehicle status
Handle inbound phone calls regarding appointments and work in progress
Ensure quality control by confirming repairs are completed correctly the first time
Coordinate with technicians and management to ensure timely service completion
QUALIFICATIONS for Automotive Service Advisor:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent; automotive training a plus.
- General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Valid in-state Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- Previous Service Advisor experience preferred
