Position Overview
We are seeking an Audit Staff professional to join our growing assurance practice. This hybrid role requires three days per week in our local office, offering the perfect balance of flexibility and collaborative face-to-face team learning. You will work closely with seniors and partners while gaining exposure to diverse client industries.
Key Responsibilities
Staff accountants participate in the preparation of financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations. You will perform substantive testing and analytical procedures across various balance sheet and income statement accounts. Team members document clear and accurate work papers in compliance with professional standards. You will also communicate effectively with client personnel to gather necessary financial data and documentation, while identifying and discussing accounting or auditing issues with engagement team leaders.
Qualifications
Candidates need a Bachelor degree in Accounting or a related field along with 1 or more years of experience in public accounting audit services. Progress toward or dedication to obtaining the CPA license is required. You must possess a strong understanding of GAAP and GAAS concepts, combined with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidates must be local to the Rockville/Bethesda area to fulfill the 3-day in-office schedule.
