At Swaggy's, our Assistant Managers lead from the front. This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll spend much of your time cooking, training, coaching, and setting the standard for the kitchen. Duties
- Primary Mission:
- Own everything that comes out of the kitchen.
Responsible for
- Working the Burger and Tender Stations
- Food quality to SWAGGY's standards always!
- Recipe execution
- Prep production
- Opening the kitchen
- Closing the kitchen
- Training every cook
- Kitchen scheduling
- Food safety
- Equipment maintenance
- Inventory counts
- Truck orders (with GM)
- Food cost
- Waste control
- Ticket times
- Cleanliness
- Health inspections
- Leading every kitchen shift
Expected to cook every day.
Requirements
- 2+ years of restaurant leadership experience in a quick-service, fast-casual, or casual dining environment.
- Strong cooking skills with the ability to execute food consistently and at a high level.
- Experience opening and closing a restaurant.
- Ability to train, coach, and develop cooks and team members.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health department standards.
- Experience with inventory, prep planning, and minimizing food waste.
- Comfortable leading shifts while maintaining speed, quality, and cleanliness.
- Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Food Manager Certification (or ability to obtain shortly after hire).
