Seeking an experienced for busy Parts Department Manager for our dealership.
A premier automotive dealership in Northern Virginia is actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Automotive Parts Manager to lead our dynamic parts department. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of success in inventory management, team leadership, and exceptional customer service.
This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and benefits package, with an annual compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the overall profitability and efficient operation of the parts department. Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for: Overall profitability, customer service, parts sales and general management of the internal parts department and wholesale parts sales.
- Inventory Management: Overseeing all aspects of inventory control, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and organizing a high-volume of automotive parts. Manage return credits and return parts to maximize manufacturer programs
- Team Work: Work directly with the service department, wholesale accounts, and body shops to ensure proper on hand inventory levels are maintained as well as filling special orders quickly to minimize vehicle down times
- Team Leadership: Hiring, managing and mentoring a team of parts advisors and support staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workplace.
- Financial Oversight: Developing and managing the parts department budget, analyzing sales data, and implementing strategies to achieve sales and profitability goals.
- Vendor Relations: Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the best possible pricing and timely delivery of parts.
- Customer Service: Ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction for both internal service technicians and external wholesale clients.
- Sales and Marketing: Proactively promoting parts specials and collaborating with the service department to drive sales.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an automotive parts management role.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
- Proven experience with inventory control software and Reynolds & Reynolds dealership management systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- A commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
