The Position
The litigation associate is responsible for handling all aspects of litigation from filing pleadings to discovery and motion practice. The litigation associate is expected to be a self-starter that will manage a large case load with some minor initial training.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Draft pleadings
- Draft and respond to written discovery
- Take and defend depositions
- Draft and argue motions (i.e. motion to compel, motion for summary judgment, motion in limine etc.)
- Attend miscellaneous court hearings
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years litigation experience
- Member in good standing of the California state bar
Fluency with the standard practices, rules and procedures of litigation in California state and federal court
