We are a food service company looking to hire an experienced and reliable forklift operator to aid in warehouse operations. Valid forklift/pallet jack certification, and 1-2 years experience is required.
Hours: 5:00am-1:30pm
Rate: $19.00-$24.00, Depending on Qualifications
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Prepares items for shipping, receiving, storing, and inventory by using appropriate machinery (forklift/pallet jack) on a daily basis. Occasionally drive box truck when needed*
2. Assists and coordinates activities of the warehouse in verifying and maintaining records for incoming, outgoing, and internal shipments.*
3. Studies shipping notices, invoices, orders and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet established shipping, receiving, and internal transportation schedules.*
4. Utilizes knowledge of shipping/receiving procedures while utilizing a forklift or pallet jack.*
5. Performs incoming shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipments to include, moving, lifting, and transferring materials.*
6. Reviews records for accuracy and compliance with established procedures, and notifies purchasing department of low stock levels.*
7. Inventories supplies to ensure the timely delivery of customer deliveries.*
8. Reports any discrepancies in orders to appropriate individuals.*
9. Maintains work areas in a clean, orderly and safe manner.*
10. Maintains bulk products as needed.*
11. Maintains the utmost level of safety practices while using all company equipment and machinery.
12. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MUST be certified in warehouse machinery (forklift and pallet jack).
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid Driver's License. Valid Forklift/Pallet Jack Certification. Driver Health Card
