Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cashier/Stocker to join our team at a busy convenience store. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service while efficiently managing transactions and maintaining product availability on the sales floor. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and a passion for retail.
Responsibilities
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers with inquiries, product information, and recommendations.
- Handle cash transactions and ensure accurate cash handling procedures are followed.
- Stock shelves and maintain merchandise displays to ensure products are organized and visually appealing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store area and stockroom.
Skills
- Proficient in cashiering with experience using POS systems.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating a positive shopping experience.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math applications.
- Experience in stocking, merchandising, and retail sales is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members; bilingual skills are a plus.
