Responsibilities
- Operate the cash register and process customer transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their purchases.
- Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and services.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to effectively assist customers.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring accuracy in cash handling.
- Stock shelves and maintain product displays to ensure a well-organized shopping environment.
- Assist with product demos to educate customers about new items or promotions.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding inventory levels and customer feedback.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or as a cashier is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- Ability to demonstrate phone etiquette when addressing customer inquiries over the phone.
- A proactive approach to stocking shelves and maintaining store appearance.
- Willingness to learn about products and services offered by the store.
