Supports the classroom teacher by helping young children develop academically, socially, emotionally, and physically in a safe and engaging learning environment.

Assist the teacher with daily classroom instruction and activities.

Supervise students during centers, recess, lunch, arrival, and dismissal.

Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts.

Help students develop early literacy, math, social, and motor skills.

Prepare instructional materials, bulletin boards, and classroom resources.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.

Support behavior management using positive reinforcement techniques.

Assist students with personal care needs, including toileting and hygiene when necessary.

Observe student progress and communicate concerns to the classroom teacher.

Help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or accommodations for students with special needs when assigned.
