What You'll Do
Every day is different. You'll help operate and maintain the equipment that keeps wastewater treatment facilities running safely and efficiently.
Your responsibilities include:
- Operate pumps, motors, valves, treatment equipment, and other facility machinery
- Monitor plant performance and conduct routine inspections
- Collect samples and perform basic laboratory testing
- Record operating data using digital systems and reports
- Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment
- Help keep facilities clean, organized, and safe
- Respond to equipment issues and emergency situations when needed
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents or clients
- Work safely while following environmental and regulatory standards

No wastewater experience? That's okay.
If you're motivated to learn, we'll help you develop the skills needed to become a certified operator.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License (CDL is a plus)
- Previous experience in water/wastewater, construction, manufacturing, utilities, maintenance, mechanical trades, military, or related fields is helpful—but not required
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and internet)
- Willingness to earn state Water/Wastewater Operator Certification
Work Schedule
This position supports a seven day operation. Team members should be willing to work:
- Days, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
- Occasional overtime
Reliable team members have opportunities to gain valuable experience and grow into higher-level positions.
Physical Requirements
This is an active position. Team members should be comfortable:
- Lifting up to 50–60 pounds
- Walking throughout the facility
- Climbing stairs and ladders
- Working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Entering confined spaces when properly trained and equipped
