Job Title: Fabrication Shop Welder
**Job Summary: **
We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Shop Welder to join our team. This position is responsible for interpreting blueprints, assembling metal components, and performing highquality welds to meet project specifications. The ideal candidate has extensive welding experience, strong fabrication skills, and a commitment to safety and precision.
**Key Responsibilities: **
- Interpret and follow blueprints, technical drawings, and welding procedures.
- Perform various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux-Cored) on a range of metals, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures, components, and equipment.
- Measure, cut, and fit materials using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
- Operate welding machines, grinders, torches, and other fabrication tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Assist with layout and fit-up of projects, ensuring proper alignment and tolerances.
- Troubleshoot and resolve welding or fabrication issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines.
Desired Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (trade school or welding certification preferred).
- Previous experience of welding and fabrication experience in a shop environment.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, Stick, and/or Flux-Cored welding.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
- Strong understanding of metal properties, cutting methods, and fabrication techniques.
- Experience with industrial fabrication tools, measuring equipment, and welding machinery.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a fabrication shop setting.
- Physical ability to lift up to 40lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various positions.
