Job Overview
Join our dynamic team as an Arborist Assistant, where you'll play a vital role in supporting professional tree care operations. Duties
- Assist with tree trimming, pruning, and planting activities to promote healthy growth and aesthetics
- Operate equipment such as bucket trucks and chainsaws safely and effectively under supervision
- Support rigging operations for tree removal or branch pruning using appropriate techniques and tools
- Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including planting, and general site cleanup
- Support team members in maintaining safety standards during all arboricultural activities
- Learn, understand, and adhere to all safety rules and company safety policies
- Learn all required ground, climbing, and aerial lift duties in support of specific job assignments.
- Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, etc.
- Collect debris and refuse from tree trimming and removal operations. Load debris and refuse onto trucks and haul it away for disposal.
Requirements:
- Must have a clean/valid driver's license. CDL a major plus.
- Drug tests are administered as well as background checks.
- Hard working, pays attention to details, professional
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, climbing, and operating machinery. Be able to lift 40+ lbs.
- Strong attention to safety procedures and teamwork skills to ensure a secure work environment
Preferred Skills:
- Basic knowledge of tree care practices, including pruning, trimming, and planting techniques
- Experience with bucket truck operation and bucket work safety protocols
- Familiarity with rigging procedures for safe tree removal or branch lowering
- Proficiency in using chainsaws and other landscaping tools responsibly

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
