Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage their seating preferences with professionalism and friendliness
- Maintain an organized reservation system, including walk-in and reservation-based seating arrangements
- Coordinate with the kitchen and serving staff to ensure timely seating and efficient service flow
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness and sanitation procedures in the host area to uphold food safety standards
- Answer guest inquiries courteously, providing information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies
- Manage waitlists effectively using POS (Point of Sale) systems or other reservation software tools
- Support overall restaurant operations by ensuring a welcoming environment that encourages guest satisfaction
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a positive, energetic attitude that enhances guest experiences
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures and food safety management to maintain hygiene standards
- Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key
