About the Role
The Adoption & Restoration Specialist supports children and families through the adoption, post-adoption, and aftercare process. This role ensures families receive the resources, advocacy, and guidance needed to promote long-term stability and success.
Key Responsibilities
Adoption Services
- Coordinate adoption placements and required documentation with CPS, attorneys, and families
- Prepare adoption evaluations and ensure compliance with agency and state requirements
- Attend adoption placements and consummations
- Conduct monthly in-home visits during adoption placement
- Provide resources and ongoing support to adoptive families
Post-Adoption & Aftercare
- Conduct intake and onboarding for post-adoption families
- Provide case management and monthly check-ins (virtual and in-person)
- Coordinate community resources, therapy services, tutoring, and support programs
- Monitor school performance and overall family stability
- Maintain documentation, reports, and funding invoices
- Support post-adoption events and agency initiatives
Hope Camp
- Assist/Lead Annual Sanctuary of Hope Family Camp
- Recruit volunteers
- Facilitate meetings
- Be in attendance for 4 consecutive Saturdays in the fall
General Duties
- Participate in supervision, audits, and training
- Network with community partners
- Maintain accurate records and confidentiality
- Support the agency’s mission and values
- Monthly travel to branch offices (Clear Lake and Fort Bend)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Health Education, or related field
- Minimum 1 year experience working with youth and families (child welfare preferred)
- At least 21 years old with ability to pass background check
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong organizational, communication, and case management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work occasional evenings and some Saturdays
