Position Summary
The Production Control Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring materials, work orders, and production schedules are aligned to support on-time delivery and efficient manufacturing operations. This role will handle purchasing, production, and inventory to maintain accurate ERP/MRP data and optimize production planning processes.
The ideal candidate has experience with ERP/MRP systems, manufacturing scheduling, and inventory management in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, manage, and maintain production schedules based on demand, inventory levels, and manufacturing capacity
- Monitor and release work orders to support production priorities and deadlines
- Maintain accurate data within the company’s SAP B1 ERP/MRP system
- Coordinate purchasing and manage inventory to ensure material availability for scheduled jobs
- Track production progress and communicate schedule changes or bottlenecks proactively
- Analyze production and inventory data to improve scheduling accuracy and workflow efficiency
- Support inventory control and cycle counting initiatives
- Assist with forecasting material requirements and production capacity planning
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline production operations
- Work closely with operations and manufacturing leadership to prioritize production activities
- Generate reports related to scheduling, shortages, production status, and inventory performance
- Ensure ERP system data integrity, including BOMs, routings, and item master accuracy
Qualifications Required:
- 4+ years of experience in:
- Production control
- Manufacturing scheduling
- Inventory planning
- ERP/MRP systems
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred / Bonus Skills:
- Experience with SAP Business One (SAP B1)
- Experience in automotive, racing, machining, or manufacturing industries
- Understanding of BOM structures, work orders, and manufacturing workflows
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
