Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cabinet Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing custom and standard cabinets in residential, commercial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that each installation is precise, durable, and visually appealing, contributing to the overall success of our building projects. Duties
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately install cabinets according to specifications.
- Measure dimensions precisely using tape measures and other tools to ensure proper fit and alignment of cabinetry.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively during installation processes.
- Install various types of cabinetry including built-in, modular, and custom units in accordance with blueprints and client requirements.
- Perform related tasks such as trimming, caulking, sealing, and finishing cabinet surfaces for a polished look.
- Coordinate with project managers, electricians, plumbers, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of cabinetry with plumbing, electrical fixtures, and building materials.
- Conduct site inspections to verify proper installation standards are met and address any issues promptly.
Skills
- Extensive experience reading blueprints, construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings related to cabinet installation.
- Proficiency with construction management software such as Bluebeam for documentation and communication.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating, inspection procedures, and building codes relevant to cabinetry work.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, chisels), power tools (e.g., drills, saws), and heavy equipment operation when necessary.
- Familiarity with tile masonry, plastering, concrete forming, roofing, flooring installation, and other related construction disciplines.
- Ability to accurately take dimensional measurements using tape measures or other measurement tools for precise fitting.
- Experience working on construction sites with a focus on building material installation including fixtures, glass panels, trim carpentry, door hanging, restoration work, and masonry.
- Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems as they relate to cabinetry (e.g., sink installations or electrical outlets).
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and blueprints for complex projects involving multiple trades.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot installation challenges efficiently.
- Physical stamina for standing long hours on-site while maintaining safety protocols at all times.
