Your Job
Trinity Sales and Rental is seeking a hands-on, safety-focused Field Service Technician to troubleshoot, service, and repair rental equipment at customer worksites. This role performs independent diagnostics and repairs while ensuring safety and service compliance—ideal for a technician with proven mechanical ability who works well with minimal supervision and is eager to keep advancing in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Do
· Independently perform routine and complex maintenance on all rental fleet equipment
· Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues with minimal supervision
· Conduct check-ins and annual inspections on all equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards
· Replace and repair worn or faulty parts such as hoses, pumps, wiring etc.
· Accurately document time, parts, and work performed using work orders and shop software
· Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve issues
· Safely demonstrate the proper operation of all equipment to customers or staff when needed
· Support shop organization and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment including service vehicle.
· Complete Genie Level 2 Training within 90 days of hire.
· On-call rotation required
· Required to work in the field on call outs, 90’s and annual inspections
· Perform additional duties as assigned
· Work weekends as needed
Who You Are (Qualifications)
· Passion for equipment, mechanical aptitude, and eagerness to learn
· Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in hydraulics and electrical systems
· Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software
· Ability to work independently while maintaining safety and quality standards
· Dependable, detail-oriented, and organized in documenting work
· Takes pride in maintaining an orderly, well-kept service vehicle and work area
· Clear communicator with strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow directions
· Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and valid DOT medical card required
· Minimum 3–5 years of experience in mechanical, automotive, or equipment-related work preferred
· Mandatory completion of equipment training (e.g., Genie Factory Training)
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
- Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs., occasional lifting up to 50 lbs., and seldom lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Exposure to loud noise, dust, fumes, and outdoor weather conditions
- Requires bending, climbing on and into heavy equipment, and working on your feet for extended periods
- Use of hands for grasping, handling, and tool operation required daily
What Will Put You Ahead
- Certifications in hydraulics, electrical systems, or OEM manufacturer programs
- Proven ability to lead large repair projects from planning through completion
- Strong record of promoting safety and efficiency within a shop environment
- Training may be substituted with proven experience

Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
