Job Overview:
- Assist in die polishing and support production by supplying dies to extrusion presses.
- Receives direction from the Die Shop Supervisor and Die Correctors.
- Safely maintain caustic and die storage with all dies stored in proper locations.
- Document die polishing and provide good feedback to Die Correctors. Job
Duties/Responsibilities - (Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following):
- Pull and transport dies.
- Assemble and break down dies as needed.
- Assist in cleaning and polishing dies. Return dies to proper storage locations.
- Safely maintain and change caustic tanks as needed. Maintain a clean work area.
- Run dies through shot-blast after caustic.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements/Qualifications - (Requirements may be modified or amended for reasonable accommodations):
- Learn how to correctly polish Aluminum extrusion dies with a file.
- Ability to stand up 8 hours, including up to 2 hours at a time.
- Job requires frequent bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and repetitive motion of hands.
- Occasionally lift up to 100 lbs/frequently lifts 15 – 40 lbs.
- Must be able to read gages, calipers and ruler measurements.
- Job requires basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication & division), reading and writing English.
- Must be able to work overtime.
- Familiar with Quality Management System (QMS) for IATF requirements and Environmental Management System (EMS) for ISO 14001 (2015) Employee
