Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, following established recipes and standards
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive, providing exceptional customer service and answering questions about menu options
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling, equipment sanitation, and general tidiness to meet food safety standards
- Manage cash handling duties with accuracy during processing cash transactions and balancing registers at shift end
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring food safety protocols are followed at all times
- Support the team by serving food and beverages promptly, managing drink service flow during busy periods, and ensuring guest satisfaction
Experience
- Previous barista experience or café experience is highly preferred; familiarity with coffee preparation techniques is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Experience using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for retail transactions
- Basic math skills for cash handling, processing payments, and giving accurate change
- Food industry or food service background demonstrating knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude throughout shifts
