Qualified candidates will demonstrate explicit teaching skills in reading, writing, and mathematics, along with experience providing individualized (1:1) instruction to students. Vermont Special Education licensure or eligibility is strongly preferred.This position is ideal for educators who value collaboration, evidence-based instruction, and meaningful relationships with students, families, and school partners. The Stern Center offers a supportive professional culture where instructors are encouraged to grow, collaborate, and make a lasting impact on the lives of students.Responsibilities Include: Administering and interpreting pre- and post-instructional assessmentsDeveloping individualized academic goals and instructional plansProviding evidence-based, one-to-one instruction in literacy and/or mathematicsMonitoring student progress and maintaining clear instructional documentationCommunicating collaboratively with families, schools, teachers, and special educatorsReporting directly to the Director of InstructionStrong candidates will demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong progress monitoring practices, and a commitment to individualized, student-centered instruction. The annual salary of $54,000 - $57,000 is prorated based on FTE.
