Phlebotomist – Full-Time | Mauston, WI
We are currently hiring a Phlebotomist for a full-time, second-shift opportunity in Mauston, WI 53948.
Position Details:
- Location: Mauston, WI 53948
- Shift: 11:00 AM–7:30 PM or 1:00 PM–9:30 PM
- Weekend Rotation: As needed
- Pay Rate: $27–$30 per hour
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Specialty: Medical Laboratory
- Position Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture, heel sticks, and finger pokes in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Verify patient information and ensure accurate specimen collection.
- Handle pathology, cytology, bone marrow biopsy, and fine needle aspirate specimens.
- Review and verify laboratory orders and physician information.
- Perform drug screens and breathalyzer testing.
- Prepare specimens according to established standards and protocols.
- Maintain accuracy and compliance with laboratory procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of related experience preferred.
- BLS certification required or must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
- Valid and current driver's license preferred.
