Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Warehouse and Shipping Associate to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing warehouse operations, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and coordinating efficient shipping and receiving processes. Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners to load, unload, and transport goods safely across the warehouse.
- Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms to track stock levels, update records, and facilitate order processing.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with precision, ensuring accuracy in order picking and packing procedures.
- Conduct shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments against purchase orders, packing lists, and delivery documentation.
- Stock shelves efficiently while maintaining organized storage areas to optimize warehouse distribution flow.
- Assist with order fulfillment processes for e-commerce platforms by picking items using RF scanners and preparing packages for dispatch.
- Support warehouse safety protocols by adhering to proper lifting techniques and operating equipment responsibly during load & unload tasks.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in warehouse distribution processes.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners; certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400 or similar ERP systems (Enterprise Resource Planning), and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) software.
- Strong basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and order calculations.
- Experience with shipping & receiving procedures including order picking & packing for accurate delivery.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items safely and standing or walking for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in stock management and order processing.
