The Pelvic Floor & Continence Center NP works under the clinical supervision of the Medical Director and Physician Consultants and the administrative supervision of the Director, Telfair Ambulatory Services. The role builds upon general nurse practitioner training and skill sets by requiring specialty focus in Pelvic Floor Disorders and Incontinence with particular focus on assessment, treatment planning and management of these conditions following established guidelines and protocols. The NP maintains a case load of patients and bills appropriately for services rendered. Under the clinical supervision of the Medical Director and the Physician Consultants, the duties include appropriate ordering and performance of diagnostic work-up studies and therapies per established protocols, monitoring and evaluating progress of patients undergoing treatment and documentation sent to the referring and/or primary care providers of the care plan and progress. The NP is expected to bill appropriately and maintain all licensures and privileges to do so. The NP is required to meet all regulatory and compliance aspects of the role and to participate in quality and revenue cycle improvement activities, and performance of other duties as necessary.
