Job Title: Vape and Tobacco Retail Associate

Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer focused Vape and Tobacco Retail Associate to join our team. In this role, you'll assist customers in selecting vape and tobacco products, provide guidance on usage and safety, and ensure compliance with age verification laws. You'll help maintain a welcoming store environment while staying up to date on the latest vape and tobacco products, flavors, and accessories. You will play a vital role in creating a positive shopping environment and helping our customers find what they need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers, verify age (21+) in accordance with local and federal laws.
- Educate customers on vape and tobacco products, including disposables, mods, e-liquid, coils/pods, glass, wraps, and accessories.
- Recommend products based on customer needs and preferences.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently.
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the sales floor is clean and presentable as well as maintain a cleanly office and restroom.
- Perform basic custodial duties.
- Stay informed on new product releases, trends, and regulatory updates.
- Handle customer inquiries, returns, and complaints in a professional, and courteous manner.
- Assist with inventory management, receiving shipments, and product rotation.
- Follow all health, safety, and legal compliance guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and able to climb a ladder.
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills.
- Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Must be at least 21 years or older.
- Subject to pre-employment and random drug screening (Cannabis is OK).
- Must be able to pass a background check.
