We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Server to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will be the face of our restaurant, providing excellent guest service in a lively environment that combines fine dining with a spirited nightlife. Your enthusiasm, attention to detail, and culinary knowledge will ensure every guest has a memorable experience. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow within the food service industry while showcasing your hospitality skills. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems ensuring efficiency and accuracy
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while adhering to sanitation and food safety standards
- Maintain knowledge of food preparation, ingredients, and dietary restrictions to assist guests effectively
- Support food safety protocols by following sanitation guidelines during food handling, bussing tables, and cleaning work areas
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order processing and billing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle guest inquiries professionally
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is highly desirable for understanding food preparation and presentation
- Excellent time management skills to manage multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, billing, and change calculation
- Previous host/hostess or serving experience preferred, with a focus on guest relations in a hospitality setting
