We are looking for an experienced Tradesman or Journeyman Plumber to join our team with Wise Choice Plumbing located in Little Elm, Texas! The ideal candidate will have experience installing, repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting plumbing systems in residential and/or commercial environments. The successful candidate will be safety-minded, dependable, professional, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, piping, and equipment.
- Read and interpret plans, and plumbing specifications.
- Install and repair water, gas, drain, waste, and vent systems.
- Diagnose plumbing issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.
- Install water heaters, pumps, valves, faucets, toilets, and other plumbing fixtures.
- Test plumbing systems for leaks and proper operation.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures, building codes, and applicable plumbing regulations.
- Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, supervisors, and other trades.
- Complete required paperwork, job documentation, and material requests.
- Respond to service calls and emergency plumbing situations as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous plumbing experience required.
- Tradesman-level or Journeyman-level plumbing experience preferred.
- Current plumbing license or registration as required by state/local regulations.
- Knowledge of plumbing codes, materials, tools, and installation practices required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver plumbing materials and equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic is required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is required.
Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills:
- Residential and/or commercial plumbing experience.
- Experience with new construction, remodels, service work, or maintenance.
- Experience with water heaters, gas lines, sewer/drain systems, and plumbing fixtures.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lead or assist apprentices and less experienced plumbers.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crawl, climb, and work in confined spaces.
- Ability to lift and carry plumbing materials and equipment as required.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
