50 Stars Staffing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a school-based position in Enfield, NH. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide therapy services that help students develop the fine motor, sensory, and functional skills needed for success in the educational environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Provide direct therapy services to students individually and in small groups.
- Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation skills.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate therapy records.
- Assist with therapy materials, equipment, and classroom adaptations.
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, teachers, administrators, and families.
- Participate in IEP meetings as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with school district policies and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current New Hampshire Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license (or eligibility to obtain).
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
