Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified Preschool Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will create a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of young children. Your expertise in preschool teaching, classroom management, and child development instruction will inspire young learners to explore, discover, and grow. Duties
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans that incorporate early childhood education principles, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods where applicable.
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth.
- Manage daily classroom activities, including lesson planning, behavior management, and age-appropriate instructional strategies for toddlers and preschoolers.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding child progress, developmental milestones, and classroom events to foster strong home-school connections.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor individual student progress and adapt instruction accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols; maintain accurate documentation of incidents or concerns.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, special education initiatives, early intervention strategies, and classroom management techniques to enhance overall program quality.
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Preschool Teacher or Early Childhood Education credential from an accredited institution.
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; familiarity with toddler care is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
- Experience integrating literacy education, math concepts, physical education activities, and Montessori methods into daily lessons.
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration.
- Ability to adhere to health and safety standards including first aid and CPR certification; knowledge of mandated reporting laws is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to develop creative lesson plans tailored to diverse learning needs; experience with special education or early intervention programs is a plus.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and child welfare practices within early childhood settings.
