Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and dependable Day Porter with some limited Security to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our facility. This dynamic role combines essential custodial duties with vigilant security responsibilities to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the premises. As a key team member, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and staff, providing excellent service while upholding security protocols. Your energetic approach will help foster a positive atmosphere and ensure operational excellence every day.
M-F 11 Am to 7 Pm Sat-8am-12pm
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and janitorial tasks across all areas, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restocking supplies to maintain a pristine environment.
- Conduct routine floor care activities such as buffing, polishing, and applying protective coatings to ensure floors remain safe and visually appealing.
- Monitor access points by checking credentials, managing visitor logs, and controlling entry to secure areas to uphold safety standards.
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to identify potential security issues or maintenance needs, responding promptly to any incidents or hazards.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs needed for lighting, plumbing, or structural concerns; assist with light custodial duties as required.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting visitors, assisting with directions, and answering inquiries professionally.
- Maintain detailed logs of security activities, incidents, cleaning schedules, and maintenance requests to ensure accurate record-keeping.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning techniques.
- Skilled in floor care procedures such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to enhance surface durability and appearance.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks including basic repairs and preventive upkeep.
- Strong security awareness with the ability to monitor premises effectively and respond appropriately to safety concerns.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for long periods, walking extensively around the facility, lifting supplies or equipment as needed.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with proactive problem-solving skills.

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
