Job Type: Contractor/Consultant Position (manage your own hours)
Fenny Group is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer with pipe stress analysis experience who can work alongside our team in a remote contractor position. The engineer will assist with pipe stress analysis jobs utilizing 3D analysis software (Bentley AutoPIPE) and hand calculations.
This position is for work done as a contractor. There may be an opportunity in the future for full-time employment. This is a remote position (i.e. work from home). Pipe Stress Engineer rate of pay will be dependent on the project and experience.

Pipe Stress/Pipe Support Engineer Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work on projects and work well in a team environment.
- Assist with the scope development during project definition phase
- Work independently and/or lead projects
- Model piping systems for analysis using Bentley Autopipe
- Perform ANSI/ASME pipe stress and flexibility analysis for Deadweight, Thermal, Pressure, Seismic and Wind load conditions.
- Work closely with clients, personnel and vendors while managing project work
- Have the opportunity to learn and gain knowledge and experience from our experienced team of engineers.
- Ability to plan and organize work effectively to meet project deadlines
- Assist other team members on large jobs
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in an accredited Mechanical or Civil Engineering program.
- Solid communication skills, both written and oral, are essential.
- 2+ years experience of Pipe Stress/Pipe Support Engineering and Design experience.
- Experience using Bentley Autopipe or Caesar II. Bentley Autopipe is preferred.
- Autodesk AutoCAD skills.
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) Licensed a plus and provides additional opportunities
- Experience with Bentley RAM Elements or similar structural design software a plus
- A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
Professional Engineering License is desired but not a requirement. Having a P.E. License may provide additional opportunities for work.
