Practitioner (MD or DO) or NP/PA – part-time, School-Based Health Center
We are seeking a Part-time Board-certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Physician or PA/NP to see patients one or two days per week at one of our two NRV school clinics. The Physician/PA/NP may occasionally be asked to see patients in one of our other clinics in Montgomery, Dublin, or Giles on an as needed basis and as mutually agreed upon.
This position will serve patients of all ages and involves providing complex direct medical care within an integrated healthcare setting. This includes working closely with behavioral health and dental staff to provide a more holistic experience for the patient. The work is performed independently with oversight provided by the Chief Medical Officer.
Qualifications:
Physician:
- Graduate from a medical school approved by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association or the Committee on Hospitals of the Bureau of Professional Education of the American Osteopathic Association.
- Board certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics.
Physician’s Assistant:
– Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies
– Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant
– Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Nurse Practitioner:
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program which conforms with the Board’s educational standards
- Current nursing licensure in VA
- Master’s degree with a minimum of one (1) year Nurse Practitioner experience.
- Accreditation from an approved certifying body for advanced practice nursing as required by State.
Must have by date of hire and maintain current throughout employment: License to practice medicine by the Commonwealth of Virginia; DEA license; Medicare PIN and UPIN numbers; Medicaid number; BLS/CPR or ACLS certification within 30 days of hire.
Benefits not available for this part-time position.

Compensation Range : $50 – $130 per hour
Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits.
