Bartender
Compensation: $16.90 - $17.90 per hour
CSG is seeking an enthusiastic, personable, and skilled Bartender to join the Food & Beverage teamin the most prestigious boutique hotel in Napa Valley . CSG is committed to creating memorable guest experiences through exceptional hospitality, handcrafted cocktails, and personalized service. As a Bartender, you will prepare and serve quality beverages while providing warm, attentive service in a welcoming and sophisticated atmosphere.

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.

Deliver exceptional guest service by greeting guests warmly, anticipating needs, and creating a welcoming bar experience.

Demonstrate knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, cocktails, and current beverage offerings while making recommendations based on guest preferences.

Maintain complete knowledge of drink recipes, ingredients, pricing, proper glassware, garnishes, and daily specials.

Accurately enter guest orders and process payments using the hotel's Point-of-Sale (POS) system while following proper cash handling procedures.

Verify guest identification and comply with all federal, state, and local alcohol service laws and responsible beverage service guidelines.

Monitor guest alcohol consumption and exercise sound judgment to promote responsible alcohol service.

Maintain adequate inventory of bar supplies and assist with stocking liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and other beverage supplies.

Keep the bar, service stations, and storage areas clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout each shift.

Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations while maintaining a clean and professional work environment.

Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally to ensure complete guest satisfaction.

Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to provide seamless and efficient service.

Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned.

Minimum of one (1) year of bartending experience in a hotel, boutique hotel, upscale restaurant, lounge, or similar hospitality environment preferred.

Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, and beverage preparation techniques.

Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.

Experience operating a Point-of-Sale (POS) system and handling cash accurately.

Responsible Beverage Service certification and Food Handler Card (or the ability to obtain required certifications within the required timeframe) preferred.

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Must maintain a positive, professional appearance and represent the hotel with courtesy and integrity.

Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.

Required to use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when applicable.

Must adhere strictly to all hotel policies regarding health, safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with exposure to wet floors, glassware, refrigeration equipment, and cleaning chemicals.

Must be available to work flexible schedules, including mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events based on hotel occupancy and business needs.
