Job Summary:
Assess, diagnose, and treat clients in need of physical therapy services.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Ensure compliance with all KidSPOT regulating agencies which includes Division of Child Care and Early
Childhood Education and Division of Provider Services and Quality Assurance.
· Renew Arkansas license annually by March 1.
· Complete twenty (20) hours of continuing education every two (2) years.
· Completes evaluations and re-evaluations as prescribed to diagnose and determine need for physical
therapy.
· Prepares a formal written report of evaluation results.
· Develops and implements treatment plan for qualifying clients.
· Provides results of evaluation and recommended treatment to client and family.
· Documents physical therapy services as they are conducted.
· Reviews caseload and efficiency weekly for accuracy.
· Ensures clients’ families are updated on needs and progress.
· Attends parent-teacher conferences or any treatment team meeting facilitated with clients’ families.
· Collaborates with each client’s treatment team.
· May provide supervision to a physical therapy assistant (PTA).
· Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Understands Arkansas Medicaid Therapy Guidelines.
· Basic computer skills which include a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
· Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of individuals.
· Ability to work with children and/or adolescents who are at risk.
· Knowledge of early childhood education programs and techniques.
· Knowledge of child development theory and practice.
· Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to resolve conflict and deal with issues.
Education Requirements:
· Master’s degree in the area of physical therapy from an accredited college or university.
· Current license with the Arkansas Physical Therapy Board.
Physical Requirements · Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds. · Balancing, bending, crouching, kneeling, crawling, and stooping are routine. · Must be able to traverse treatment area and adjust one’s tone and height, by bending or leaning, in order to teach each child. · Must be willing and able to sit on the floor and get up without assistance.

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
